Cool stuff, perfect for a Battlefield-esque “cool” figure. I love the clean, simple look of these sets with some nice new pieces in AOR1. I question the logic behind having that guy lug around that fat first-aid pack. But what do I know, I’m no secret squirrel.
I like this one. Minus the crazy camo netting, and 300th C Bale head. One thing I really like is the wear down on the paint job. It finally seems like companies realize that the paint needs dings and scuffs. I may jump more on this one than the “shooter”. That spotter scope is a nice update from my Dragon one.
I agree. The large aid bag would work if they had large packs or 3 day packs but given the design it seems like a one and done type of op. I think two small IFAKs for the two would have worked.
This is how the real Crye Precision Ghillie suit looks like from their homepage. It is just avaiable in multicam. It would be interesting to know if E&S make it right so that the lower part can be folded above the head to cover the rifle like on the photo. It looks like it lies on top of each other on the E&S Photo.
Just as an update on this figure ES had an assembly issue with the rifle bipod and will be making corrected versions available to dealers in early May. Kudos to them for fixing the issue promptly.
Got mine last week and started putting him together. It’s a nice figure and the quality is fine with me. The suppressor has a really, really tight fit on my rifle. So tight, that I actually broke off the barrel while trying to push it on A drop of super glue did the trick, fortunately, and there’s no blemish visible. I then reamed the inside of the suppressor. Seems like there’s al little ridge or rim on the inside that keeps the thing from sliding down properly. After I got rid of that ridge, everything worked fine, though I was damn careful this time around. Otherwise no problems…
I see that from time to time with the ES rifles, especially the painted ones. A bit of filing of the inside with a round file can help and they sometimes go on easier with gentle rotation rather than being pushed straight on. If fitment is too loose after filing a bit of blu tack on the flash hider does the trick.
If you feel a bit of resistance break out a file. I’d rather have them a bit loose and then secured in place with a dab of blu tack. Some of the flash hiders can be particularly temperamental when they are glued on to the end of a barrel and not integral. My least favorite thing to put on.
A bit of acrylic polish in the magwell can do a job there as well as long as the gap isn’t too large.
