The new E&S box looks like this. It’s very slim, but doesn’t has to mean less gear for ES figures in general.

Out of the box the carrier was applied already

Who is that?

The new 2.0 body has much stiffer joints than the 1.0.

The connection of elbow and upper arm looks strange in certain positions. If you are nitpicking, the tattoos don’t match the ref pics.

T-shirt has a small collar and can’t be fitted onto a mannequin

Boots are just fine for moulded ones

IMG_5161

The gloved hands have like the previous DAM models a nice matt painting and therefore look more life like

The problem with ES hands are though, that their grip is very loose and they tend to drop the rifles they are carrying

Belt and pants

Pants turned out awesome. No fake pockets and the cloth looks great.

Fake buttons here

Are these openings for ventilation?

Plate carrier reminds me on the DAM FBI figures

Stretchy material on the back

The inside

Not greedy here. Front and back have plates inserted

Side pouches

Attached like this

GP pouch

Annoying are the new doubled molle webbing straps. Mostly they were just too thick to attach the pouches properly and a lot of force was needed

Several grenade pouches

Pistol FAST mag holders look incredible. Only drawback the mags are sitting in very loosely

To attach push this rubber band downwards

Then you are able to unhook this flap

After attaching it to the vest put the flap around the hook again and tighten the rubber band

Completed vest. I realized later that the two side pouches were meant to be located under the molle webbing that closes via velcro on the front

The new foldable headphones. Unfortunately they are positioned in such an angle when attached to the helmet that you can’t use this feature

Completed helmet without headphones

Face mask. I don’t like it. Several units were using it during the Manchester bombing incident, but not this particular guy here. I am quite strict about being accurate on this occasion, because every difference would be pure laziness in my opinion.

Signal jammer with backpack

Like several users mentioned the zipper is too tight to open

Inside seems to be a wooden block or similiar. Peek through this hole to see

Knife is executed very well and secured in the sheath via a strap you can open

No reason to highlight anything here anymore, it’s a G-17

Mags with base, which can’t be removed as I tried

This remake of the rifle I like much more than the former

Geared up rifle

Light switch with sticky tape applied to the rifle will most likely be irreversible. It either damages the paint or won’t be sticky anymore after once removed

Full figure with some changes. I didn’t use the carabiner, sheers, sling, sling mount and NVG as I couldn’t see it anywhere on the guy in the pics. I also custom made a respirator that is closer to the original. However, the patch and double mag holder I applied despite of the ref pics, because I just like the look of it.
I will use light sticks, but have to buy larger ones that actually have a big enough hole to fit a thread through as seen here (ES sticks can’t fit a thread)

Completed figure

Need to be said that the preview pics didn’t do this figure any justice. The whole package looks better in real life.
Also the L129 rifle, the pants, grenades and chest rig are perfectly executed in my eyes.
Less gear is actually a welcome and also had a nice Effect on the asking price for this one.
Personal drawback is the face mask and the holster.
Small niggles are the light sticks and tattos.

Respirator is based on this from the MSE Z.E.R.T. Z Squadron Sniper Team

EDIT

Sticky tape from the gun light is too weak and doesn’t hold properly on the rifle!

Updated gear

No NVG mount

Carabiner

Light sticks and ES 26027 holster will follow!

Nice review chpo. Got a few parts on the way from this set. Still wish ES would give us better gloves and footwear for the price they’re asking.

Excellent in depth review. I hadn’t really fancied this figure but now after reading this I’ve changed my mind

Thanks. There’s always quite some work involved, but it’s fun. As long you all like it and it helps you out I am happy!

ES should step up their presentation

Here is actually a good video of this guy. I just spotted the cable that connects the headphones is secured at the NVG counter weight pouch. The carabiner is attached to the back of the vest, left shoulder strap. He is actually using a rifle sling and not so important, but he is quite short.
Still can’t figure out if he’s wearing a gas mask or just a respirator with ballistic glasses.
