Why are there so many blurred optics/PEQ’s? Does this unit equip with classified proprietary gear like SOCOM stuff?

The weird thing is, apparently a lot of it is standard kit - PEQ 15s, EOTechs, you can even make them out based on the shape of the blur. There’s some speculation that SOG trials a lot of really high-speed stuff and the manufacturer demands that it’s blurred out. It’s kind of weird and there doesn’t seem to be consensus about the “why” yet.
